Waste Management

Australia generated a staggering 76 million tonnes of waste during the 2018-19 financial year, a figure that continues to grow. Many Australians, like Drainflow Services (DFS) identify that there is a problem and are advocating for change. Our commitment to fighting the war in waste is at the core of what we do at DFS.

The main waste streams managed by DFS are hazardous liquid waste, organic waste, general waste and construction waste comprised from a range of industries. These waste streams all have significant opportunities for reduced waste generation, improved recovery and recycling performance and reductions in flows of waste to landfill.

We recognise that there are many opportunities for environmental and economic gains through better management of all our waste streams.

We have formed a joint venture with Revive Resources, a Western Australian company providing solutions and facilities to help manage and divert our waste streams from landfill. Drainflow Services has a commitment to resource recovery and a business model that supports the circular economy.

OUR PARTNERS

Revive Resources is Western Australia’s first hydro wash facility in the metropolitan area, using the latest European innovations and modern equipment to deliver a solution and diverting waste from landfill.

The facility’s primary functions are the separation of hydrocarbons, heavy metals and organic materials that are laced within the contaminated waste being treated at the plant.

The waste is washed and screened, producing clean certified sand and 10mm/20mm aggregate. These revived materials can then be reintroduced in a range of industries.

Our Accreditations

We comply with the standards as set out in the internationally recognised ISO 14001 environmental management system and ISO 9001 quality management system and use innovation and industry best practices to enhance our use of resources and reduction of waste while also providing a quality assured service.
